Train journey to Sicily via Naples and Rome

1 night in Rome. The Roman capital is one of the most charming cities in Europe. The city has, for thousands of years, been a centre of power and culture and is known as the eternal city due to its historical significance.

The city offers many attractions such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City, the Spanish Steps and many other highlights. Rome is a vibrant city with an excellent restaurant and café scene offering plenty of culinary experiences.

After a few exciting days in Rome, the journey continues to southern Italy. You start the day with a short walk to Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome. From here, you board the high-speed Frecciarossa train, which takes you from Rome to Naples at speeds of up to 300 km/h.

Along the way, you pass rolling hills, fields and beautiful coastal areas. The legendary volcano Mount Vesuvius gradually appears on the horizon as you approach Naples.
