The journey begins with a flight from Billund or Copenhagen directly to Pisa in Italy.

In Pisa, you are met by a private driver at the airport and taken directly to your hotel in the city centre.

You have two nights in Pisa. You stay in a centrally located hotel close to the train station. Pisa is a compact city with a small centre. From your hotel, you can easily walk through charming shopping streets and explore quieter side streets.

Along the main street, you find several restaurants and cafés. At the end of the street, you reach the Arno River and the bridges that connect the two parts of Pisa. On the other side, the city becomes slightly more elevated. From here, you can walk to the most famous landmark, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Pisa offers many attractions. Visit Piazza dei Miracoli, the cathedral and Camposanto Monumentale.

The city is surrounded by hills and filled with charming streets and squares. Here, you can enjoy cafés, restaurants and shops while experiencing Italian culture and cuisine.

The journey continues by regional train to Cinque Terre, the five villages. Along the way, you can enjoy scenic views and spectacular landscapes from the train window. The journey takes just under 1.5 hours and includes one train change.

Your stop in Cinque Terre is the charming village of Monterosso. Here, you stay with beautiful views of the sea and the town.

You have two nights in Monterosso. The town is the westernmost of the villages in Cinque Terre. It is a true coastal town with a small and cosy sandy beach. Monterosso features charming houses and has the most lively atmosphere in the area.

Explore historic buildings, take a walk along the promenade or visit the old church. In addition, there are excellent opportunities for hiking, with many scenic trails in the surrounding area.

After a few memorable days in Cinque Terre, the journey continues north to the Portofino Coast, where you stay in Santa Margherita Ligure.

Along the way, you enjoy beautiful views of the Italian landscape. The scenery changes from mountains to lakes and green valleys.

On arrival in Santa Margherita Ligure, you can explore the spectacular coastline and the elegant town centre. You stay in a hotel within walking distance of the train station.

Santa Margherita Ligure is a picturesque coastal town located along the beautiful Italian Riviera in the north-west of Italy. The town is known for a charming atmosphere, pastel-coloured houses and stunning views of the clear Mediterranean Sea.

The centre of Santa Margherita Ligure features narrow, winding streets that lead down to the harbour. Here, colourful fishing boats and luxury yachts lie side by side. Along the waterfront, you find cosy cafés, restaurants and shops. You can enjoy a coffee, taste local delicacies or browse for souvenirs.

The town is also known for a beautiful promenade that runs along the coast. It offers fantastic views of the blue sea. You can relax on sunny beaches, take a swim in the clear water or enjoy a peaceful walk by the shore.

In addition, Santa Margherita Ligure is an ideal base for exploring nearby destinations, including the famous resort town of Portofino.

The eventful days come to an end, and the journey continues with the final train to Milan. In Milan, you transfer to a shuttle bus that takes you to the airport. From here, you fly home to Copenhagen or Billund.
