The world-famous West Highland Line is the crown jewel among Scotland’s railways. From Glasgow, the train gradually moves into the Highlands, where the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic. The highlight is the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, where the train elegantly glides 30 metres above the valley with views of Loch Shiel and the historic Glenfinnan Monument. Through the majestic Glen Coe valley, known as the “tear canal of the Highlands”, the journey continues to Fort William at the foot of Great Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
