Train Journey to Krakow and Zakopane

After a good breakfast, the journey continues with a direct ICE train to Krakow. Along the way, you can see the landscape change as you travel further into Poland, where there is more industry and more hilly terrain. You also pass the beautiful Polish cities of Wroclaw and Katowice, which you can enjoy from the train windows. On board, you can dine in the restaurant car or browse the internet using the train’s WiFi.

2 nights in Krakow. Krakow is one of the major university cities in Poland and therefore has a lively atmosphere. The city offers a rich history, with more than 1,000 years of heritage. The old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an incredible place to explore.

The main market square of the city is very beautiful and is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. The square is home to St. Mary’s Church and the old town hall.

You should also visit the former royal castle on Wawel Hill. The castle is located on a hill and offers exceptional experiences with museums and the famous Wawel Cathedral.

A day trip from Krakow can be made to Auschwitz, a dark chapter in modern European history that should not be forgotten.

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you are picked up by a private driver at the hotel. You are driven to Zakopane, a famous tourist town in the Tatra Mountains in Poland.

The drive to Zakopane follows the main road, but along the way you can see the Tatra Mountains rising dramatically on the horizon. You arrive in Zakopane around midday.

2 nights in Zakopane. Zakopane is Poland’s most visited tourist town. Its location, surrounded by the Tatra Mountains in southern Poland, makes the town highly attractive for holidays.

The town has a lively commercial life and many resorts. The area around Zakopane invites trekking, mountain sports, cycling, and mountaineering. It is also possible to go rafting on wooden rafts.

The architecture in the town is influenced by Polish traditions with wooden buildings and decorative patterns.

In Zakopane, you experience the Polish spirit. You often see folk dance, traditional national costumes, and you can buy local crafts and food at reasonable prices.

You can also take a cable car up to Gubałówka Mountain at almost 1100 meters above sea level.

The journey comes to an end, and you can choose whether you would like to travel home by flight or by train.
