Your journey begins with a comfortable trip to Switzerland, where you can choose between flying or taking an overnight train, depending on your preferences:

By flight: You will arrive quickly and comfortably in Switzerland, typically via Zurich Airport or Geneva Airport. From here, the journey continues by train through the beautiful Swiss landscape to Interlaken, idyllically located between two lakes and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Alps.

By overnight train: If you prefer a more relaxing journey, you can take the overnight train with a comfortable sleeping compartment and wake up to views of the Swiss Alps as the train approaches Interlaken.

Upon arrival in Interlaken, you will be welcomed by a charming town surrounded by the crystal-clear lakes Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and the impressive mountain peaks of the Jungfrau region. The rest of the day is yours to relax, take a stroll along the lakeside promenade, or enjoy a coffee with views of the majestic mountains.

With two nights in Interlaken, you have time to enjoy this charming alpine town, beautifully situated between the two crystal-clear lakes Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Jungfrau region.

Interlaken is known as the gateway to the Swiss Alps and offers a perfect balance between relaxation and nature experiences. Start your stay with a leisurely walk through the town centre, where the beautiful Höhematte parks provide exceptional views of the Jungfrau massif. From here, you can admire the iconic peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau rising above the horizon.

For even better views of the town and lakes, take a short train ride on the Harder Kulm railway to Interlaken’s viewpoint. From the top, located at 1,322 metres above sea level, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panorama over Lake Brienz, Lake Thun and the entire Jungfrau region.

If you wish to explore the lakes more closely, you can take a boat trip on either Lake Brienz or Lake Thun. Here you can relax and enjoy views of lush mountain slopes, small alpine villages and mirror-like waters that change colour with the light.

After a beautiful morning in Interlaken, you will take the mountain railway up to the charming alpine village of Grindelwald. The train journey takes just under 30 minutes and is an experience in itself, as the train gradually climbs through green valleys and passes small, idyllic alpine villages. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of steep mountain slopes, blooming meadows and glimpses of the mighty alpine peaks rising on the horizon.

Upon arrival in Grindelwald, located in the heart of the Jungfrau region, you will be welcomed by a town full of alpine charm and stunning natural surroundings. Here, you will spend 4 nights at a hotel close to the mountain railway station, making it easy to explore the area’s many hiking trails and experiences.

Grindelwald is known for its fantastic hiking opportunities and its dramatic alpine backdrop, where the iconic peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau dominate the landscape. Whether you choose short walks through lush valleys or longer hikes into the mountains, nature is always right on your doorstep.

The town centre is filled with cosy chalet-style houses, local shops and cafés, where you can relax and enjoy a hot chocolate or a classic Swiss dish such as rösti after a day in the fresh mountain air.

First – Bachalpsee: A classic hike starting from the First mountain station. From here, follow a gentle trail to the beautiful Bachalpsee, a mirror-like alpine lake where snow-covered peaks are reflected in the water.

The day offers one of the world’s most spectacular train journeys as you travel from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch – Europe’s highest railway station at 3,454 metres above sea level. Here, a truly unique experience awaits, with snow, ice and breathtaking panoramic views.

The journey to the top

After breakfast, the adventure begins with a short trip from Grindelwald to Eiger Glacier station, located at 2,061 metres above sea level. From here, you board the Jungfrau Railway, which takes you further up towards the summit. The train travels through an impressive tunnel carved directly into the mountain, and along the way you can enjoy views through the panoramic windows.

When the train arrives at Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, a world of snow and ice unfolds, surrounded by the most famous peaks of the Swiss Alps. From here, you’ll have spectacular views of the Aletsch Glacier, which, at 22 kilometres, is the longest glacier in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Experiences at the top

With your ticket, you will have 3.5 hours at the summit to enjoy:

Jungfraujoch Plateau: Step outside and enjoy the fresh mountain air and stunning panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks.

Ice Palace: A unique labyrinth of tunnels and artistic ice sculptures carved into the glacier – a truly magical experience.

Alpine Sensation: An exciting exhibition that tells the story of the construction of the Jungfrau Railway and the importance of the region.

Return to Grindelwald

After an unforgettable day at the “Top of Europe”, the journey continues by train back to Eiger Glacier, where you transfer to the gondola that takes you down to Grindelwald. Here, you can relax after a day filled with spectacular natural experiences and impressions from one of the world’s most iconic mountain destinations.

After unforgettable experiences in the Swiss Alps, your journey returns to Denmark.

By flight: You will take the train from Grindelwald to the nearest airport, typically Zurich Airport or Geneva Airport, from where direct flights to Denmark are available. A quick and comfortable way to conclude your journey.

By train and overnight train: If you prefer a more relaxed return, you can take a daytime train from Switzerland to Munich, where you board one of Europe’s new overnight trains. Here, you will have a private sleeping compartment with your own toilet, allowing you to relax and sleep comfortably on your way home. The next morning, the journey continues by daytime train to Denmark.
