Experience The Ultimate Bergen Railway Journey, a 5-day trip along one of the most scenic rail routes in Europe, the Bergen Railway. This unforgettable journey combines dramatic mountain landscapes in Norway with stays in the charming cities of Oslo and Bergen.

In addition, the journey is ideal for travellers who want to experience nature and culture in Norway in a comfortable and inspiring way.

The journey begins with a flight or train from Denmark to Oslo, where two days are spent exploring main attractions in the capital. Visit the Royal Palace, the iconic Opera House and the Munch Museum. Meanwhile, a walk along the waterfront at Aker Brygge is recommended.

On day three, the Bergen Railway (Bergensbanen) is boarded, known as one of the most spectacular train journeys in Europe. The route passes through dramatic mountain landscapes in Norway, with deep valleys and mirror-like lakes.

During the journey, panoramic views can be enjoyed as the scenery constantly changes. Mountains, lakes and wide open plateaus appear along the route.

Upon arrival in Bergen, two days of maritime atmosphere and historic charm are included. Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site, can be explored, and the Fløibanen funicular leads up to Mount Fløyen for panoramic views.

In addition, a fjord cruise in surrounding fjords can be enjoyed. Finally, the journey ends with a return trip from Bergen to Denmark, with memories of landscapes and culture in Norway.

Bergensbanen

Bergensbanen forbinder Norges hovedstad Oslo med vestlandets metropol Bergen og er kendt som en af Europas mest spektakulære togstrækninger. Siden åbningen i 1909 har ruten på ca. 500 km taget rejsende gennem dramatiske fjeldlandskaber, højfjeldsplateauer og dybe dale, med 21 stop undervejs – bl.a. Geilo, Finse, Myrdal og Voss.
